Pain – has an Element of Blank -
It cannot recollect
When it begun – or if there were
A time when it was not -
It has no Future – but itself -
Its Infinite contain
Its Past – enlightened to perceive
New Periods – of Pain.
A Dor – tem um elemento em branco.
Desde quando doi
Não se recorda, nem se houve
Tempo em que ela não foi.

Seu futuro – só ela mesma;
Seu infinito contendo
O seu passado – que deixa ver
Novos períodos – doendo.
